I have created a new blog award!
The CATASTIC BLOG AWARD (Alis Approved)
This award is given to those very special bloggers who are always there with great posts, comments and everything else that makes a blog...and bloggers...wonderful. Everyone knows that cats can be very nonchalant so for a cat to give a CATASTIC award to a blog must mean that their blog is exceptional! And this award is extra special because it is approved by my cat, Alis.
I am giving this award to some fellow bloggers that visit my blog frequently and that I consider to be good friends.
And they are:
Ryan at Wordsmithonia
Deb at Bookmagic
Melissa at My World
Krista at Life or something like it...
Please stop by and explore their blogs...they care about books and writing about them. They are also very friendly and will make you feel welcome.

Thank you for visiting and taking the time to comment. It means so much.
I apologize for word verification, but as soon as I changed the settings from only users with Google accounts, I started receiving a ton of spam comments...within one hour of changing the settings. The bots are on high alert apparently.

Thanks Michelle!!! Cats are very picky of who they befriend, as my cat is anyway. So it is an honor that Alis has picked me;)
ReplyDeleteI love the picture! He is just adorable.
I feel you are a great friend as well. We have made a nice little group of friends here who talk on a regular basis. I love it! Thank you!
You are so welcome Mel! You deserve it...and Alis has spoken! Although she is very tomboyish, she is indeed a girl. In that pic, she's wearing her Christmas collar.
ReplyDeleteIt is amazing that you can meet people online these days and become so close...with people you might not have ever met. The internet and social media are a boon in that respect!
I am very sorry, please give Alis a treat for my apology. I am so use to saying he in reference to cats being my cat is a he and all the cats I had growing up were usually hes as well. So I just say he for cats.
ReplyDeleteI am amazed myself with the friendships here on the internet. Never thought I would find such great friends this way.
I just visited your blog for the first time yesterday and signed up as a follower.
ReplyDeleteI found your link at one of the other blogs I visit...now I don't even remember which one! But I love the look and feel of your blog...interesting background. Is that something you change with the seasons? Where did you find it?
Love "Alis" in Wonderland!
Hi Laurel-thanks for the compliments! I just changed my background for Halloween since Tuesday is the first day of Autumn. I do like to change my background periodically, but I always change it for my fav holidays, Christmas and Halloween. I found this one on blinkyou.com If you click on that "myspace" link at the top of my left sidebar, it will take you to the site.
ReplyDeleteAlis is our family cat. Her name is spelled that way because my 7 year old son spelled it like that on a school paper and we decided we liked it! We like to say that since she's now a teenager (she's 2 & a half), she decided she wanted to change the spelling of her name. She's very precocious...just like a teenager!
Thank you so much for stopping by! I will make sure to follow your blog as well. =o)
Thank you so much for this. Alis is adorable and I can't wait to get this passed onto others. You are the BEST!
ReplyDeleteThis is the cutest thing! I love it! Thank you!
ReplyDeleteYou are welcome Ryan and Krista! You both deserve it!
