Cat Thursday: Authors and their cats (18) & Happy Valentine's Day!

The second Cat Thursday of each month is Authors and their Cats Thursday.  Each time I will feature an author and their cat(s).

It's back! Authors and their Cats returns after a two month hiatus.  Today I'm sharing with you non-fiction author, environmental activist, and novelist Peter Matthiessen and a friend.  I have a few of his books and I was perusing them the other day while working on organizing my library, thinking to myself, "I really need to read these books."  

 What better way to celebrate Valentine's day than to show the love between a cat and its human. ;O)

I apologize for word verification, but as soon as I changed the settings from only users with Google accounts, I started receiving a ton of spam comments...within one hour of changing the settings. The bots are on high alert apparently.

    Grumpy cat, how much do I love thee? LOL! Love the author and his kitty too. My cat September isn't really a lap cat but she will snuggle up right next to me whenever I sit still.

    PS- I've done the link up wrong yet again. I forgot it saves them from other submissions and for some reason this one wants to keep using an author post I've done. Grr. I will so try to remember for next week.

    After the year I've had healthwise for me & my son and the one you've had which is so disruptive and painful - our pets are what keeps us going. What would we do without them?
    Grumpy Cat - you get me every time - and I love you, even if you don't love anyone :)

    Mathiessen's cat looks like ours - always love when mine curl up in my lap and get that supremely contented look.
