It's almost time! The Halloween Read-A-Thon starts at 12:00 am. Well, really you can start any time between now and Sunday, but I'm going to start at midnight (my time)! You can still sign up, just go HERE. I'm not sure how much time I'll put into reading because tomorrow is my birthday and I'll be doing some birthday-related activities on Friday and Saturday. Mom is taking me shopping on Saturday AND I have the big, quarterly library sale! I've decided that I'm going to be laid back and not be so hard on myself this time...LOL!
Oh, and my younger son, Reece, is going to join me a little bit in reading for the read-a-thon. He's so excited!
Here's my stack (minus Dante's Journey...I think it's over at my mom's house!):
The Wedding Gift by Kathleen McKenna (finishing)
Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead (finishing)
Dracula in Love by Karen Essex (finishing)
The Lucifer Code by Charles Brokaw
Dante's Journey by JC Marino (not shown)
Here's what Reece is reading:
Bella Legrossi is the messiest monster in all of Booville. Her slime is the slimiest and her grime is the grimiest. Alas, she is neighbors with Boris Kleanitoff, a persnickety ghoul so tidy he vacuums his vampire bats. What could ever bring these two together? Why, a hoppin' Halloween party, of course!
Dink, Josh, and Ruth Rose are spending Halloween in Sleepy Hollow, home of the legendary Headless Horseman. They are going to sleep in an old cabin, take a haunted hayride, and check out the Old Dutch Church. That's where some people say they've spotted the ghostly horseman. But strange things start happening that don't seem to be part of the planned spooky fun. Is there a real Headless Horseman haunting Sleepy Hollow?
Trick or treat! Amelia Bedelia wants to help prepare for the big Halloween party, but how can she follow directions when nothing is as it seems?
So...we'll see how it goes! Good luck to all the read-a-thon participants!
