Read, Read, Read-a-Thon

Final Update:

Well, did not finish much reading as I ended up falling asleep several times in the final hours...oops!
  • Total pages read:  193
  • Total hours of reading:  estimate of around 8-9 hours
  • finished New Moon
  • halfway finished with Creeping Shadows
So...looking forward to the next read-a-thon =o)  I do not give in to defeat! the Read-a-Thon did not go exactly as I planned! I didn't start until 6:00 pm (CT) and I was at my mom's house (no internet) so I couldn't check in with anyone or post any updates until now.  Unfortunately, it has not been as productive as I wanted.

  • Official start time was 6:00 pm.  I have read a total of 165 pages and I finished one book, New Moon-Stephenie Meyer.
  • Now reading Creeping Shadows-Draven, Ford, Gardner (starting at page 66)
How is everyone else doing?

Tomorrow is the Read, Read, Read-a-Thon hosted by Dreadlock Girl.

I am planning on starting some time in the morning...maybe around 9:00 am (CT).  I'm going to my mom's house this time so the kids can't interrupt me! I have to come home around midnight or so because of my husband's paper route, but by that time the kids will be in bed...WOOT! So, anyway, my mom will be participating with me at least for half of it.  I'm going to buy me a TMobile Hotspot one day pass.  I'm hoping it will enable me to use the internet at mom's house.  If not, I won't be able to check in with anyone until I get home Saturday night.

Now on to my list of books...

Finish New Moon-Stephenie Meyer
Finish The Christmas List-Richard Paul Evans
Finish Creeping Shadows-Draven, Ford, & Gardner
Winter's End-Jean-Claude Mourlevat
Matchless-Gregory Maguire
An Irish Country Christmas-Patrick Taylor

I'm not going to add anymore right now.  IF I get through these, I will pick up another for my Christmas Reading Challenge.

Good luck to everyone else who is participating!

Happy Reading!

I apologize for word verification, but I turned it off and had close to 50 spam comments within 12 hours (nobody has time for that) so I had to turn it back on. Sorry!

This blog is Award Free. I appreciate your thinking of me for an award, but please know that your comments are my award. Thank you!

  2. Also, I think it's cool your mom is doing it with you:)

  3. How wonderful that you have your mom's house to escape to! I would have loved that when my kids were little.

I almost picked up the Christmas List today. I wish I had. I'm not even sure what I will be picking up. I just got an anthology in the mail yesterday so I may pick that up first.

  9. Oooh, everyone seems to have Matchless on their list. I've been hit-and-miss with Maguire, so I'm eager to see what everyone thinks.

  11. Hope that you enjoyed yourself. I still have yet to write my wrap up.

  12. Hi
Thanks for stopping by, glad you got thre book, I liked it. The problem I have with reading is that I can start a book and then something else comes along and I think oh ok I will read that one instead. So I figured a challenge would keep me on track. Do not want to do too many though because I am also doing reviews for about 5 publishers...good thing I am on medical leave otherwise I would have no time to do all this reading... Take care...

  13. Hi Michelle! I'm so sorry it's taken me so long to find your place! I'm from TN as well we live in Lebanon so we aren't to far away from each other! LOVE your blog and love the header I'm a huge cat lover myself so that caught my attention immediately. LOL we have three kitties that own us lol.

  14. Well the fact that you even participated puts you MILES ahead of me, no matter how much you read! I didn't even have the guts (or the quiet spot) to even try. So kudos to you, in my opinion!
