Profound Passages

I collect new books the way my girlfriends buy designer handbags. Sometimes, I just like to know I have them and actually reading them is beside the point. Not that I don't eventually end up reading them one by one. I do. But the mere act of buying them makes me happy-the world is more promising, more fulfilling. The whole act just cheers me up.

Thank you for visiting and taking the time to comment. It means so much.

I apologize for word verification, but as soon as I changed the settings from only users with Google accounts, I started receiving a ton of spam comments...within one hour of changing the settings. The bots are on high alert apparently.

  1. I agree. Having books is sometimes better than reading them all. :)

  2. I agree with this as well. Even though I haven't yet read the books on my TBR stacks, I often gaze at them, enjoying the way they look and eagerly anticipating the moment when I open each one to read.

  3. I agree, also. I love walking out of a book store with a new stack of books - I think they are much more fun to buy than shoes.

  4. I LOVE IT!!! Yes, this is how I feel when buying a book. I know I will eventually read it but buying it just makes me feel so much better. Books and Shoes(boots more so), these are my addiction. lol!
