Olympic Read-a-Thon: Goals #OlympicReadathon

That's right! Another read-a-thon.  My view is...never say die! This read-a-thon is being hosted by Random House of Canada.  It's the Olympic Read-a-Thon.  It lasts during the entire span of the
Olympics in London, July 27 through August 12.  They're using the hashtag #OlympicReadathon for interaction on Twitter.  To find out full details and sign up, click the badge above or HERE.

For this read-a-thon, we are to set a pages read goal.  My goal is 2000 pages.  I know for sure I'm going to be finishing the following books:

Graceling by Kristin Cashore
Anna Karenina by Leo Tolstoy
Middlemarch by George Eliot

plus, I have a couple of review books to read by end of month.  One is fairly short so shouldn't be a problem.  Those are my plans for the next four days.  After that, anything goes!

Are you doing the Olympic Read-a-Thon?

Thank you for visiting and taking the time to comment. It means so much.

I apologize for word verification, but as soon as I changed the settings from only users with Google accounts, I started receiving a ton of spam comments...within one hour of changing the settings. The bots are on high alert apparently.

  1. Hello again Michelle! And lots of good luck for another read-a-thon (bet you're relieved to be reading rather than hosting this time, huh?)... I aiming for a modest 850 pages, thanks to work and house viewings (ie. lots of cleaning!) this fortnight. Drop by and say hi if you get chance - I think many a read-a-thon addict is being created this summer! :D

  2. Those books are all on my TBR list! Hope you reach your goals, Michelle! I'm participating in this one, too!

  3. Thanks for posting about this, Michelle! I'm now in....goal of 1500 pages. Off and running with Murder at the Portland Variety (138 pages so far).

  4. Boy, you're getting some chunksters finished up! Just in time for you to start Wolf Hall! I'm going to have to see how I do on vacation getting through the books I'm taking - if I really bang them out, then I'll join you for Wolf Hall. Hope to do that because I think it's one that will help to be able to talk about.
