Cat Thursday

Welcome to the weekly meme that celebrates the wonders and sometime hilarity of cats! Join us by posting a favorite LOL cat pic you may have come across, famous cat art or even share with us pics of your own beloved cat(s). It's all for the love of cats! (share your post in the Mr. Linky below)

I have to apologize for my brain freeze last week in posting Authors and their Cats a week early. But it turned out to be fitting what with the sad passing of Ray Bradbury.  It was a nice tribute to him.  =O)

I have a couple of great things to share with you this week.  Check out this video:

Isn't that wonderful?  And so very true.  I worry about Alice when she sneaks outside because I read that black cats are the most likely to be abused.  How can people be so superstitious in this day and age?  It baffles me.  =O(

I got this book free on Amazon yesterday for my Kindle, Confucius Cat Says...by P.R. Mason.  It might still be free today.  It is so awesome! I haven't been through the whole book yet, but let me share a few tidbits with you:

Confucius Cat says...

"Finding happiness in life is like using a litter box.  If you can't find a good spot, just kick the clumps out until you MAKE a good spot."

"If all you can see in life is the cat litter, you'll never experience the catnip."

"Live your dreams every day! Why do you think cats nap so much?"

"Defend your family from all who would threaten it.  I started the day by fighting with a cat on the other side of the sliding glass door...A cat who looked suspiciously like me."

Aren't they great?  I wish I could share them all.  I may start including one with my post each week.  What do you think?

Thank you for visiting and taking the time to comment. It means so much.

I apologize for word verification, but as soon as I changed the settings from only users with Google accounts, I started receiving a ton of spam comments...within one hour of changing the settings. The bots are on high alert apparently.

  1. I have never been able to understand this sentiment, as black cats are the best! I have had 2 black cats and they were the gentlest cats I have ever had. I really love black cats and wish more people would. Great post, Michelle!

  2. I picked up that freebie from Kindle yesterday too. I can't wait to read it.

Black cats get a bad rap because of superstition. It's so ridiculous.

  3. Michelle - I had a problem with Mr. Linky. I'm sorry. It re-posted last week's link instead of this week's. My current one is http://socratesbookreviews.blogspot.com/2012/06/cat-thursday-june-15th.html It's a tribute to my kitty that passed away earlier in the week :(

  4. I had no idea that black cats were more abused than other cats. That's so sad. I think they're just as pretty as other cats. When we first married, we had a all black cat. Her name was Patience. We had one problem. She loved my husband more than me. Boo,hoo! It was like having another wife in the house. She was very possessive. Slept above his pillow.

  5. I can't understand how people can be this superstitious nowadays either. My aunt used to have a black cat and it was such an adorable little thing. Great quotes, love them, they are so true! Thanks for sharing!

  6. This is your best CT ever ... I agree, Black Cats are the best. My neighbors are black cats and they love me as I love them. All cats are wonderful including black cats. Yes, include the Confusius Cat quotes ... they are adorable. Thanks for starting out my day with a smile.

  7. We have rescued many cats, all colours. We currently are owned by 1 white cat & 2 sister black cats. We love all 3 equally.
The 2 black sisters are polar opposites...and we wouldn't have it any other way!!

  8. I'm new here! I've been enjoying Annie and Andrea's weekly contributions so I decided to add my own. I'm the proud Mommy of five furkids, from one to 16 years of age. Life wouldn't be nearly as much fun without them!
