TTBA Weekly News and Mailbox Monday

This feature was inspired by It's Monday! What are you reading? hosted by Sheila at Book Journey and by The Sunday Salon.

Another week has went by and we are approaching the new year at a very fast rate! I still can't believe how fast this year has gone.  Remember when we were kids and Christmas seemed like it took forever to get here?  That sure isn't the case once we become busy adults.  Oh, to go back to those childhood days.  So, is everyone ready for Christmas?  I'm happy to say that I have my sons' gifts squared away, but I still have not decorated the apartment.  Yes, still slogging through the book organizing.  UGH!

Be sure to stop by tomorrow for my stop on the Songs of the Season music hop.  I'm sharing a favorite holiday tune by Enya.

I wrapped up the Bag of Bones read-a-long yesterday and watched the first part of the mini-series last night.  The movie is good so far, but quite different from the book, in my opinion.  You can read my final thoughts on the book at Castle Macabre.  I will also be posting my thoughts on the mini-series soon.

The Christmas Spirit Reading Challenge is in full swing.  You can still sign up and join us, there is no deadline for sign-up and it runs until January 6 so still plenty of time! You can find out the details and sign- up over at The Christmas Spirit HERE.

My annual season long event, Sharing the Joy, is going on now at The Christmas Spirit.  You can read all about what I have planned for the month at the INTRO POST.  I've already had some lovely guests so far and I have more scheduled, along with some giveaways! I'm still extending an invitation to any authors or bloggers who might like to contribute a guest post.  Please contact me at truebookaddictATgmailDOTcom, if you're interested.  Would sure love to have you!

Save the date! My winter read-a-thon, A Winter's Respite Read-a-Thon, is scheduled for January 23 -29, 2012.  I should have all the details and sign-up posted some time this week.

Thank you for visiting and taking the time to comment. It means so much.

I apologize for word verification, but as soon as I changed the settings from only users with Google accounts, I started receiving a ton of spam comments...within one hour of changing the settings. The bots are on high alert apparently.

  1. Wow, you are a busy gal! I've got Deliverance Dane to read and West of Here is on my list. Enjoy your new books!

  2. I am nowhere near ready for Christmas. Normally I'm finished with shopping by October or November. I'm just getting started. I don't feel the urgency to run out and spend my money. :-)
