NaNoWriMo Day One and a Giveaway Winner

First order of business:

NaNoWriMo started yesterday and how many words have I written?  That would be a big fat ZERO! But I haven't lost hope yet...I've been having idea problems, but a BIG idea struck me last night during my musings so today I will start fresh and see where it takes me.  Wish me luck...I'm gonna need it!

NOW...on to the winner of my birthday (and my first) giveaway of The Wizard of Earthsea by Ursula K. Leguin.  Each person recieved a specific number for EACH entry.  For instance, if you did the initial entry plus 3 of the bonus entries (and you were the first to enter), your numbers would have been 1, 2, 3, & 4.  I used Random.org to generate the winner.

AND THE WINNER IS....

KRISTA (entry #19--a bonus entry)!

CONGRATULATIONS!!!

I am sending Krista an email also to notify her.  Krista, please respond to my email with your mailing address within 48 hours.  Thanks!

Thank you for visiting and taking the time to comment. It means so much.

I apologize for word verification, but as soon as I changed the settings from only users with Google accounts, I started receiving a ton of spam comments...within one hour of changing the settings. The bots are on high alert apparently.

  1. Hey I haven't written anything in NaNoWriMo yet either! I've had assignments due today and tomorrow, (and the one due tomorrow is actually a creative writing piece - so i'll just upload that lol, unless that's considered cheating)

I just started reading the Earthsea quartet and I'm liking it a lot ^_^ Congratulations Krista :)

  3. Hey there!

Just a quick You Can Do It from your nano writing buddy, jimmyolsen. Starting a day late? No worries! You can still rock the word count in a couple days.

I'm a very slow writer, but in keeping with the nano theme, I'm hammering out words and graphs and pages, and I'll fret over perfection later.

Go get 'em! And good luck! :)

  5. Michelle, I wish you luck for NaNo!
I'm at 226 words right now and I hate my story because I'm not sure it will turn out as I want it to, but that's a side-effect.
    We can do it!
