STICKY POST...SCROLL DOWN FOR NEWER POSTS
I really hope I can get a lot of reading in this week. As I mentioned though (in a previous post), I have taken on two new clients in the past couple of weeks, added to the ones I already had, so I'm more busy than ever. Problem is, I have a TON of reading to do! So, no sleep it is. HaHa!
The first thing I'm going to tackle is to read Becoming Josephine by Heather Webb for my review post due Tuesday. It's only 300 pages so I think I can do it (and I have to). I've already started. Then I'm going to finish Possession by A.S. Byatt for the TuesBookTalk chat Tuesday night. I'm making this post a sticky so I will come back and add what I'm reading next after I finish the above.
The Ghost Orchid, Carol Goodman
Doctor Zhivago, Boris Pasternak
The Gendarme, Mark Mustian
I might read some of Possession by A.S. Byatt, but I've decided to try to finish this one gradually. I'm still not getting into it, but I'm not giving up!

ReplyDeleteGood luck with your reading this week!! I am still deciding on my list of books to read this week, then I will get my kick-off posted!
ReplyDeleteliking your post setup - verrry nice Michelle =) will have to try that later at FHC - TY! and for hosting another great relaxed readathon !!
ReplyDeleteHi Michelle, Finally, I'm over here. Don't really know what to do except start reading. Do I need a badge? Am I too late? Thanks for the invite.
ReplyDeleteHi Michelle, it's me again. Here is my link. http://brookscircle.blogspot.com/2014/01/a-winters-respite-read-thon.html
ReplyDeleteI know a lot, lol, because I read this book, and would love to win a copy to give to a friend. strange relationship, but the guy WAS strange!! thanks for hosting the giveaway
ReplyDeleteWould love to read this book.Have been reading rave reviews.
ReplyDeleteTheir relationship is so interesting. The book sounds great.
ReplyDeleteWhat little I know I gleaned from the 80's miniseries starring Armand Assante and Jacqueline Bisset, which aired a LONG time ago so I can only recall that Napoleon and Josephine's relationship was .... odd.
ReplyDeleteSo funny that you mentioned that miniseries because I did happen to envision Armand Assante a couple of times as I was reading. HaHa!
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting!
I'm not much of a fan of Napoleon, but I'd love to know more about Josephine.
ReplyDeleteLOL That last looks very familiar :D That poor kitten in the water bowl, that's exhaustion.
ReplyDeleteI meant to just post my first Cat Thursday and ended up doing that and a rant on snow shaming. I promise to be more jolly next week! Glad I found you via triberr for this!
ReplyDeleteThe only thing better than the photos are the captions!
ReplyDeleteHappy Cat Thursday to you!
Sadly I know nothing. I would like to know a bit more about her though.
ReplyDeleteI don't much about Josephine and Napoleon but what I love about historical fiction is when its well written, it makes me want to learn more about the true history.
ReplyDeleteOh yes, they absolutely know right where you're going to want to be!
ReplyDeleteThese are so funny, especially the last one. Jigglypuff lies down on the bed and takes over my side, so there is no where for me to lie. She thinks Mike is her husband. hehehehe
ReplyDeleteI'll probably picture him from time to time when I read the book! Hee hee!
ReplyDeleteLove that last one...that is what Piper does on the bed....he manages to take up so much space that one must sleep clinging to the edge for fear of falling off!
ReplyDeleteI don't know anything about their relationship so that is why I really want to read this book. It has received amazing reviews and I so enjoyed chatting with Heather on Facebook yesterday during Stephanie Dray's wonderful Historical Fiction Fest!
ReplyDeleteDear lord, I'm already behind on this one - I can't start for another week yet!
ReplyDeleteThanks for giving the Winter Read A Thon. I mostly stuck to reading The Invention of Wings by Sue Monk Kidd until it was finished. Didn't check in. Sorry. Would remember the Read A Thon off and on. Enjoyed it. Will do better next time.
ReplyDeleteI have read about Napoleon since the history and background is fascinating. thanks.
ReplyDeleteHi, Michelle! Sorry for missing the read-a-thon, I knew there was one, but I haven't been participating in read-a-tons lately, the last one I did was in November, (though I am participating in the WWRAT now), but I'll definitely participate in the horror one ;) You know I can't pass that one :)
ReplyDeleteIt seems you had a good one, over 600 pages read when you are busy, that's solid :)
I read lots of WWII historical fiction, but usually set in Europe. This novel, with its unique setting sounds great.
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting, Kara! Glad you like the blog. Good luck on the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteThanks to everyone who has stopped by so far. Good luck on the giveaway!
