Classics Club Spin #37

And the spin landed on #8...The House on the Borderland by William Hope Hodgson. I should have no problem finishing this by June 2nd.

I finished the last Spin (glory be) so why not try again...

What is the spin?

At your blog, before next Sunday 21st April, 2024 create a post that lists twenty books of your choice that remain "to be read" on your Classics Club list.

This is your Spin List.

You have to read one of these twenty books by the end of the spin period.

On Sunday 21st April 2024 we'll post a number from 1 through 20. The challenge is to read whatever book falls under that number on your Spin List by the 2nd June, 2024.

For full details and to join in, visit the Classics Club blog here.

Here's my list:
  1. Collected Works (short stories), Algernon Blackwood

Thank you for visiting and taking the time to comment. It means so much.

I apologize for word verification, but as soon as I changed the settings from only users with Google accounts, I started receiving a ton of spam comments...within one hour of changing the settings. The bots are on high alert apparently.

  1. Congratulations on completing your last spin! My book group just got finished reading Phantom of the Opera, which I found intriguing, and I read and enjoyed Of Mice and Men long ago. I would like to read something of Gogol so I'm rooting for one of those to pop up.

    1. I hope I get it too. I've had it on my spin lists so many times...it's time I think. :)

  3. I read both The Collector and Of Mice and Men in High School (about 50 years ago) but I still remember them both! And as you noted, we both have Dorian Gray on our lists, but not in the same spot! Good luck!
