Happy Holidays to you

The last thing an ornament sees before it dies...

I still haven't put up my tree. Frankly, I'm quite alarmed thinking of what Merida is going to do to it. I've never had a kitten this wild! Wish me luck!

Thank you for visiting and taking the time to comment. It means so much.

I apologize for word verification, but as soon as I changed the settings from only users with Google accounts, I started receiving a ton of spam comments...within one hour of changing the settings. The bots are on high alert apparently.

  1. A colleague of mine puts her tree in her living room 24 hours before she starts decorating it, time for the cat to get used to it - she says it works. I place all of my decorations out of cat reach ! Fun pictures, thanks for sharing :)

  2. So funny! I love that black kitty walking away from the fallen tree like she's a bad-A! lol. My kitties are doing pretty good this year. They go crazy the first week and then they get used to it and just hide under it. But I haven't had a kitten for a long time either so good luck!

  3. Good luck! We've had years when we've tied the top of our tree to a hook on the ceiling with fishing line.

  4. We always anchor our tree to the window sill and the door frame. Most of the cats just like to lay under the twinkling lights. It was actually our 2 Rhodesian Ridgeback 4 month old pups, who were the worse. They had a contest on their hind chubby legs no less, to see who could crunch the highest antique glass Christmas balls in their mouths. Mommy had so much fun pulling all the tiny shards of glass from our mouths! And the monkey, well he just crawled in the middle of the tree and sat there singing. We had looked all over for him and there he was happy as can be with a tree in the living room!

  5. Just found out about the Christmas challenge/readathon and I'm so excited to participate! This is a dumb question but are some audiobooks (in addition to print books) allowed? Also, any recs for Christmas-related books? Can they just be tangentially related to Christmas? Thank you!
