#CatThursday - #Authors and #Cats (93) Leonora Carrington

Welcome to the weekly meme that celebrates the wonders and sometime hilarity of cats! Join us by posting a favorite lolcat pic you may have come across, famous cat art or even share with us pics of your own beloved cat(s). It's all for the love of cats! Share the link to your post with your comment below.

The second Cat Thursday of each month is Authors and Cats Thursday. Each time I will feature an author (with a birthday during the month), pictured with their/a cat(s), or guest posts by cat loving authors who also (sometimes) write about cats.

Leonora Carrington (b. April 6, 1917 - d. May 25, 2011) was an English-born Mexican artist, surrealist painter, and novelist. She lived most of her adult life in Mexico City, and was one of the last surviving participants in the Surrealist movement of the 1930s. Carrington was also a founding member of the
Women’s Liberation Movement
in Mexico during the 1970s.

(The next Cats in Art post, I will feature some of her cat paintings.)

Never miss a post!

Thank you for visiting and taking the time to comment. It means so much.

I apologize for word verification, but as soon as I changed the settings from only users with Google accounts, I started receiving a ton of spam comments...within one hour of changing the settings. The bots are on high alert apparently.

  1. Pretty kitties. Love those chocolate point siameses!

  2. I always like to see the authors with their cats. I have never heard of these two authors. Glad to meet them.
