The Classics Club Spin: Wide Sargasso Sea
The number was posted on the Classics Club website yesterday and it was 20. I lucked out and one of the shorter books was that number on my list...Wide Sargasso Sea by Jean Rhys. This is a book I've been wanting to read and its shorter length will make it easier to finish since I'm reading so many others right now.
What did you get?

Thank you for visiting and taking the time to comment. It means so much.
I apologize for word verification, but as soon as I changed the settings from only users with Google accounts, I started receiving a ton of spam comments...within one hour of changing the settings. The bots are on high alert apparently.

I don't know if comments are only for your book club but here I am anyway. :)
ReplyDeleteThis is one of the best books I've ever read. It's been many years since I read it but I remember it as being a favorite. I think I'll read it again.
That... is a very strange cover for Wide Sargasso Sea. Nonetheless, I hope you enjoy it :-) Have you read Jean Eyre?
ReplyDeleteThe cover looks like it's a bodice ripper! I'll need to check this one out ;)
ReplyDeleteI've been wanting to read this one for a while. Looking forward to your thoughts on it.
ReplyDeleteLinda, this is my personal book blog so any and all comments are always welcome. Thank you for stopping by! I am looking forward to reading this. I've been wanting to for a long time.
ReplyDeleteMe too! Thanks, Lisa.
ReplyDeleteI noticed a couple of comments regarding the cover. This particular cover is the movie tie-in edition, which is the one I own (in trade paperback). The film was titled the same and came out in 1993 and starred Nathaniel Parker and Karina Lombard. IMDB link: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0108565/?ref_=nv_sr_1
ReplyDeleteI love Jane Eyre and had this book was on my shelf and I thought it looked familiar. Checked my book journal and realized I read it in 2001 and have no memory of it. So, I look forward to seeing if it's worth a reread,
