He was taken from us much too soon...eight years ago today. A talented actor who I'm sure would have done much greater things if he could have continued his career. You are greatly missed. I hope you are happy, wherever you are.

My Yearly Remembrance--Heath Ledger

I'm one day late in my yearly remembrance of actor, Heath Ledger.  Every year, on January 22, I take a moment to remember and recognize one of my favorite actors, who was taken from us much too soon on January 22, 2008.  I now pause for a moment of silence for Heath.  I hope you are happy, wherever you are, dear man.  Please know that you are missed and will never be forgotten.

A Belated Remembrance....

Every year, on January 22, I take a moment to remember and recognize one of my favorite actors, Heath Ledger, who was taken from us much too soon on that date in 2008.  Unfortunately, I missed the date this year and I'm very upset with myself.  Heath, if you can hear me, please know that I may have forgotten the date, but you have not been forgotten.  I now pause with a moment of silence in honor of him......Heath, you will be remembered always.

My son, Gabriel, was partly named for Heath's character in the film, The Patriot.  Here's a shot of Heath as Gabriel in the film.

YOU ARE REMEMBERED...

Every year, on this date, I take a moment to remember and recognize one of my favorite actors, Heath Ledger, who was taken from us much too soon on January 22, 2008.  Today, I pause with a moment of silence in honor of him......Heath, you are missed. =O(

You are missed...

Today I am honoring one of my favorite actors, Heath Ledger, who died two years ago today.  His untimely death brought to a close the life of an actor who was just realizing his great potential and a father who adored his little girl.  I myself have a constant reminder of Heath in my life.  In 2000, Heath starred in The Patriot with Mel Gibson.  This was one of his earlier films and I was already a fan, but I recognized that he possessed real talent.  His character in the film was named Gabriel and this was the early inspiration for the name I chose for my eldest son.  His name is Gabriel.

I was so happy last year when Heath won the Oscar for his role in Batman posthumously.  An honor I'm sure he still would have received had he not died so suddenly.

I hope that wherever he is now that he is at peace.  I remember you today, Heath.  You are missed.
