TTBA Weekly News and Mailbox Monday

This feature was inspired by It's Monday! What are you reading? hosted by Sheila at Book Journey and also by The Sunday Salon.

So, I skipped posting this last week and this week is going to be short and sweet too.  I've been working at home as a part-time virtual assistant for a month now and it has been an adjustment.  I don't want to sound whiny to those of you who work full-time or anything, but when you've been a stay-at-home mom like I've been for so many years, working again really is an adjustment, especially with two boys at home for the summer (can I say handful?), doing all the blogging I do, and trying to write my novel as well (and guess what takes a backseat, unfortunately).  Anyway, enough venting.  I will adjust soon.  It will be somewhat easier when the boys go back to school.  I'll at least get some peace then.  LOL!

What's going on in my/the reading world....

The The Queen's Vow (by C.W. Gortner) Read-a-Long at Historical Fiction Connection is going on right now.  Our first check-in post goes up tomorrow.  There is still time to joins us! The dates are July 7 through July 21 and you can get all the details and the reading schedule at this POST

The High Summer Read-a-Thon starts next Monday.  If you haven't signed up yet, there is still time.  You can sign up through Friday, July 20, the week of the read-a-thon.  Sign up at the dedicated blog, Seasons of Reading.  Would love to have you join us!

My annual Christmas in July event at my Christmas blog, The Christmas Spirit, is going on right now.  If you love Christmas any time of the year, you'll want to stop by for some fun! I'm also looking for guest bloggers so if you're interested in being my guest during the event, visit the announcement post HERE and find out what all will be going on.

To find out what I'm reading this week, visit the read-a-thon sticky post at the top of the blog.

Mailbox Monday was created by Marcia and is currently on tour. This month's host is Mrs. Q Book Addict.   (You can click the book covers in the BookBox to view the book(s) on Amazon)

Thank you for visiting and taking the time to comment. It means so much.

I apologize for word verification, but as soon as I changed the settings from only users with Google accounts, I started receiving a ton of spam comments...within one hour of changing the settings. The bots are on high alert apparently.

  1. Oh my gosh - you've really added a lot of books to those shelves this week! The boys are going to have to start keeping books under their beds for you instead of their toys!

  2. I started back to work full time back in February after being a stay st home mom for 25 years. I fully understand how hard it is to adjust. Hang in there. It will all fall into place eventually!
