TTBA Weekly News and Mailbox Monday

This feature was inspired by It's Monday! What are you reading? hosted by Sheila at Book Journey and by The Sunday Salon.

Hope everyone had a fun Labor Day weekend! Here in Nashville, it rained all day Sunday and today, but it brought some cooler weather.  Maybe we're headed into Fall's cool, crisp days sooner than we thought.  I sure wouldn't hate that!

EVENTS

Last week, I announced some big events.  My Fall Read-a-Thon and the blog launch event over at Castle Macabre, my new horror blog.  Have you visited yet?  Since the read-a-thon is in October and will have a scary theme this time, I'm hosting it at the horror blog.  Click the buttons below for details for each event and to sign-up for the read-a-thon.  I hope you will join me for both events!

I am behind on drawing the winners for my blogoversary giveaway, but I will be doing that in the next couple of days and will announce the winners.  I apologize for the delay.

I would like to congratulate all the bloggers who made the short list today for BBAW! Although I did not make the short list for Best Historical Fiction blog, I am still so honored that I made the long list in the first place.  There are some great blogs on the short lists so be sure to head over and VOTE.

WHAT I'M READING

Today on my blog is a guest post by Melanie McDonald, author of Eromenos.  Check it out HERE.  I am currently reading Eromenos and will be reviewing it here on Thursday.

This is the last week for the TuesBookTalk read-a-long of Captivity by Deborah Noyes so I will be finishing that up tomorrow.  Starting next week is The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss.

I'm still trying to catch up on Wallace's (Unputdownables) read-a-long of The Midwife's Tale.  I'm determined to catch up.

I'm participating in the Back of the Book Reviews month long read-a-thon and the R.I.P. VI challenge so I'm going to be getting some good reading done.  I have extra reading now due to Castle Macabre, but I'm going to be reviewing some scary books during my blog launch event!

Mailbox Monday was created by Marcia and is currently on tour.  This month's host is Amused by Books  (want to read a book description?  Clicking the book covers will take you to the book's page on Amazon

Thank you for visiting and taking the time to comment. It means so much.

I apologize for word verification, but as soon as I changed the settings from only users with Google accounts, I started receiving a ton of spam comments...within one hour of changing the settings. The bots are on high alert apparently.

  1. I already told you this, but I'm horribly jealous of Dreadfully Ever After. I have to have it now. :-)

Hope you have a wonderful week!
