Read Your Own Books Read-a-Thon Updates/Wrap-Up

Update 9/18/11:  Well, this read-a-thon has not been going well.  I woke up yesterday with a cold and have felt like total crap.  I did go out yesterday with my mom for our weekly Saturday excursions (library sale, out to eat, movie) and when I got home yesterday evening, I really felt horrible.  So, not much reading.  Just falling asleep and constant sneezing and runny nose.  Ugh!

-read 54 pages of The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss
-read about 20 pages of The Midwife's Tale
-read 5 pages of Dust by Joan Frances Turner

Yeah, I suck!

Wrap-up 9/18/11:

Add to the above--1/2 of Dust, 205 pages

Not giving a books read total, since I only read parts of different books.
Total pages read--284

Pretty sad. =O(  That's what happens when you get sick I guess.

Thanks to Monica for hosting! Wish I would have done better.

I apologize for word verification, but as soon as I changed the settings from only users with Google accounts, I started receiving a ton of spam comments...within one hour of changing the settings. The bots are on high alert apparently.

  1. Aww, sorry to hear that. I hope you're enjoying The Name of The Wind at least. It's a great book (:

    Get well!

  2. Thanks, Celine. Yes, I am enjoying The Name of the Wind very much. =O)

  3. You're a great inspiration, Michelle! Take care of yourself. I hope you feel better soon.

  4. Still, you probably got more read than you would have otherwise, right? I hope you feel better!

  5. Sounds like an interesting challenge though!
