And the spin landed on #17....Ghost Stories of an Antiquary by M.R. James. Very excited about this one. Should be easily finished by September 22.
At your blog, before Sunday July 21st create a post that lists twenty books of your choice that remain "to be read" on your Classics Club list.
This is your Spin List.
You have to read one of these twenty books by the end of the spin period.
On Sunday July 21st, we'll post a number from 1 through 20. The challenge is to read whatever book falls under that number on your Spin List by September 22, 2024.

I've never read Gogol, but I would like to add at least one Gogol title to my list, I think. Good luck with the spin.
ReplyDeleteI'm excited to read his work. I was telling Elizabeth over in the website comments about the Russian TV series that led me to him. It's called Gogol and can be watched on several free streaming services. Only watch if you like horror though. Thanks for visiting and for the good wishes!
DeleteGreat list, lots of these I don't know. Of Mice and Men is wonderful, but so tragic. The Other Reader has The Devils of Loudon on our shelf, but I've never read it.
ReplyDeleteNot sure I can handle tragedy right now, but my list is so short, I had to include over half on my spin list.
DeleteI found out about The Devils of Loudun when I watched the 1971 film, The Devils. I immediately purchased the book. It's considered a non-fiction novel and is based on real historical events.
I think I read a few of these in school, but that was so long ago I don't remember. I know I either read Murder in the Cathedral or saw a stage production of it. Maybe both!
ReplyDeleteI've been wanting to read Murder in the Cathedral for a long time!
