#CatThursday - #Authors and #Cats (91) Paul Gilroy

Welcome to the weekly meme that celebrates the wonders and sometime hilarity of cats! Join us by posting a favorite lolcat pic you may have come across, famous cat art or even share with us pics of your own beloved cat(s). It's all for the love of cats! Share the link to your post with your comment below.

The second Cat Thursday of each month is Authors and Cats Thursday. Each time I will feature an author with their cat(s), pictured with a cat(s), or guest posts by cat loving authors who also (sometimes) write about cats.

In honor of Black History Month...

Paul Gilroy FBA (b. February 16, 1956) is a British historian, writer and academic, who is the founding Director of the Centre for the Study of Race and Racism at University College London. (Google)

He has written many books, including The Black Atlantic: Modernity and Double-Consciousness, 'There Ain't no Black in the Union Jack': The Cultural Politics of Race and Nation, and Postcolonial Melancholia. Read more about these books and his others on Goodreads.

Thank you for visiting and taking the time to comment. It means so much.

I apologize for word verification, but as soon as I changed the settings from only users with Google accounts, I started receiving a ton of spam comments...within one hour of changing the settings. The bots are on high alert apparently.

  1. That photo with all those books!

  2. I love this photo. Nothing like a professor who really loves a tabby. I have one cat ; You know. I would like another one, a tabby.

  3. It's amazing how you keep finding new authors who love cats :)

    1. Thanks, Rosa. It often takes me a good hour or more to find one each month.
