  4. I love this idea! I found you while searching for a cat painting that haunts me, can't find it so far... it's a 19th c painting of a little girl standing holding her cat, somewhat awkwardly, though the kitty is submitting graciously. the child is in her gauzy nightgown, and looks sad. ring any bells? I used to have it in a book of cat paintings, all postcard size. I wish I'd never let it go - because the image has stuck with me for years.
