FRIDAY FILL-INS--MAY 6, 2011

I haven't done one of these in awhile.  When I saw that it featured a bookish question, I had to do it!

1. Braveheart is my favorite movie because it was my first exposure to the important Scottish historical figure, William Wallace.  It was so smartly and beautifully done AND it struck me so much that I predicted it would win the OSCAR that year.  I saw it 10 months before the OSCARs aired...and I was right!

2. Go to page 45 of the book you're reading or of the book closest to you; go to the 6th paragraph and make a sentence out of 7 words from it: Drops the woman over her shoulder, running. (Water for Elephants by Sara Gruen)

3. I am ready for positive change and a new beginning in mine and my family's life.

4. I really need to take some long walks.

5. Take some time to yourself every once in awhile.  I haven't been able to do this lately and I'm looking forward to when I can again.

6. Life needs a bit of chaos.  Otherwise, it would be rather dull.

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to reading, as usual, tomorrow my plans include having my Saturday with my mom...finally! It has been almost a month.  We are doing our Mother's Day fun tomorrow.  And Sunday, I want to go eat with my family (my grandmother) for Mother's Day and also meet up with my mom again!

Happy Friday and Happy Mother's Day!

Friday Fill-In

Friday Fill-Ins was created and is hosted by Janet.

I haven't done this in awhile.  I was inspired by this week's fill-in so....

1. I'm going to make a solid effort in Unputdownables's 48 Hour Read-a-Thon this weekend.

2. Books give a reader adventure and daring.

3. Perhaps today you can make it a point to say a kind word to someone or at least smile at them.

4. A reader has a true adventurer’s spirit.

5. Compassion is a gift you can give every day.

6. I really always try to finish a book, no matter how difficult.

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to starting reading, tomorrow my plans include reading, possibly a library sale, reading, lunch with mom & reading and Sunday, I want to read, read, read & read!!!

=O)

Friday Fill-In

I haven't done this in quite some time.  I really liked the sound of this one so here goes....

1. We need a little Christmas, right this very minute!

2. I thought of my boys just now and it made me smile.

3. If you want something for yourself, you have to go out and get it.

4. I am blessed because I have my sons, my health and my books.

5. Massachusetts has a proposed 5% sales tax on elective cosmetic surgery; I think that's just fine.

6. Home, family and books makes for a happy holiday.

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to reading (I have two books to finish), tomorrow my plans include going to see New Moon (wooo hooo!) and Sunday, I want to (not really) work on my school work!

Friday Fill-In #140

Friday Fill-Ins

Haven't done one of these in a while so here goes...

1. I feel like all I've done the past few days is procrastinate...big surprise!

2. Book shopping is always fun.

3. Right now, I can hear these things: the fan, the tv, and my son freaking out over his videogame.

4. I'm tired and overwhelmed and I'm glad it's a three day weekend.

5. The last time I didn't procrastinate was 1979 (I was eleven...lol)!

6. I might work on organizing my library this Labor day weekend.

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to finally writing at least one book review, tomorrow my plans include Goodwill half price sale where I hope to find some good used books and going to see Inglourious Basterds and Sunday, I want to, make that have to, finish an assignment and quiz in my College Algebra class...yuck!
