I do not support banning books. I think we should always have the right to choose whether or not we want to read something. We don't need those choices made for us. Parents should monitor what their children are reading and it's up to the parents to 'ban' certain books if they feel their child needs to be older or more mature to read a certain book. I would like to buy Sherman Alexie's book; I've enjoyed his writing and am sorry one of his books ended up on this list!JCookIe23noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9057271795590627394.post-83383618604840265372014-09-28T11:26:51.298-04:002014-09-28T11:26:51.298-04:00If I won, I'd pick Looking for Alaska by John ...If I won, I'd pick Looking for Alaska by John GreenFelsonoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9057271795590627394.post-74921872843539728112014-09-28T11:26:18.131-04:002014-09-28T11:26:18.131-04:00I'm always amazed when reading the list of ban...I'm always amazed when reading the list of banned books. This week I have been reading LOLITA for a classics group read and for Banned Books Week. I'm not sure which of the books on my list I would purchase first. I guess it would depend which came up first for a group read.WordTrixnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9057271795590627394.post-50958929257883321502014-09-24T14:35:32.978-04:002014-09-24T14:35:32.978-04:00And I would by something by Judy Blume. And I would by something by Judy Blume.amycnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9057271795590627394.post-81952890901385637792014-09-24T14:33:20.066-04:002014-09-24T14:33:20.066-04:00I can't believe books are banned and a lot of ...I can't believe books are banned and a lot of them are really good books and have no reason to be banned. campbellamyd at gmail dot comamycnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9057271795590627394.post-53185286889811595642014-09-24T09:19:42.619-04:002014-09-24T09:19:42.619-04:00I am not taking part in the banned books week but ...I am not taking part in the banned books week but by coincidense I am listening to His Dark Materials by Philip Pullman.
