IT'S ALL ABOUT INDEPENDENCE READ-A-THON

I'm attempting to do this read-a-thon...big emphasis on "attempting"! You know me.  Just cannot pass on a read-a-thon.  Can anyone say glutton for punishment?  ;O)  I'm actually just now starting.  I was up super late last night working on my starting post for Christmas in July over on my Christmas blog and trying to get my mini-reviews written for the end of the month.  Still have to update my challenges...ugh! Anyhoo, here is what I'm thinking about reading this weekend:

Catch-up on read along reading:
The Book Thief by Markus Zusak
The Widow of the South by Robert Hicks
To the Lighthouse by Virginia Woolf
Roots by Alex Haley
(I can't believe that I own the latter two books, but have to check them out at the library because I STILL do not have all my books unpacked!)

What I might get to (doubtful):
Dante's Journey by JC Marino
The Greek Maiden and the English Lord by Patty Apostolides
and a myriad of other review books of which I'm dreadfully behind...oh well, such is my life.  If it's not hectic I guess it ain't livin' (like that Southern twang I threw in there?).

The read-a-thon goes from today through Monday.  Not sure if you can still sign up, but click the button above for details.  They're having a ton of giveaways and fun trivia contests too.

Thank you for visiting and taking the time to comment. It means so much.

I apologize for word verification, but as soon as I changed the settings from only users with Google accounts, I started receiving a ton of spam comments...within one hour of changing the settings. The bots are on high alert apparently.
