48 Hour Read-a-Thon--Wrap Up Post

Well, I didn't read as much as I had planned, but I did finish Virgin and the Crab by Robert Parry.  Wow, what a book! I loved it...which is why I didn't give up on it, but it was a pretty difficult read.  Look for my review in the next couple of days.  After finishing the Robert Parry book, I started Venetia Kelly's Traveling Show by Frank Delaney.  I got to page 100.  I'm really enjoying this one and I can tell it's going to be a fast read for me. 

So...I'm pleased with myself.  Although I didn't read as much as I had planned, I do feel a certain sense of accomplishment.  I would like to thank Wallace at Unputdownables again for hosting such an awesome read-a-thon. 

Next up is the Read Your Own Books Read-a-Thon hosted by Monica at The Bibliophilic Book Blog from August 13-16.  Will you be joining me on this one?  I hope so!

    Congrats Michelle! I'm looking forward to reading your review of The Virgin and the Crab!

    It was quite a productive Read-a-thon weekend for me too, you can see about it here.

    Yes! I'll be joining Monica's Read Your Own Books Read-a-Thon. She has inspired me to do this until the books on my shelves are all read. :)

    i need to find a weekend to do some reading--my schedule has been so hectic that i'm having a hard time finding 30 uninterrupted minutes to read, let alone an entire weekend! maybe one day soon... :) here's to wishful thinking.

    ps. would you be able to change your comment setting to allow for name/url comments? i can't post comments here unless i use google. other 'blogger' blogs have this option checked and it makes life just a bit easier for those of us with self-hosted or non-blogger blogs. :) thanks!

    Thanks for stopping by! I love read-a-thons and even if I do not read tons of books, finally finishing a book feels like quite the accomplishment to me!

I apologize for word verification, but as soon as I changed the settings from only users with Google accounts, I started receiving a ton of spam comments...within one hour of changing the settings. The bots are on high alert apparently.
